The Research Strategy Group at the Media Lab guides and oversees the Media Lab’s interactions with its 70 Corporate Sponsors. Under the direction of Prof. John Maeda and Becky Bermont, we seek to articulate the value proposition of the Lab for various industries, link Sponsors with relevant initiatives at the Lab, and explore new models of interaction between Sponsors and the Lab.
Our mission is to see the unbridled creativity and inventiveness that defines the Media Lab result in maximally impactful research, and to make the external relevance of this research transparent. We work closely with Media Lab faculty, students, Sponsors, and a talented crew of MIT UROPs to make this happen.
