Get Valuable Business Experience at the Media Lab
Research at the Media Lab is funded by 70 Fortune 500 corporations like Google, Target, Nokia, Microsoft, and Johnson & Johnson. The Research Strategy Unit at the Media Lab is one of the primary touchpoints for these companies. We are looking for a highly-qualified UROP to help define the future business strategy for the Media Lab, and get a hands-on education in the business-facing functions of the Lab.
As a UROP with the Research Strategy Unit, you will:
- Interact and make connections with many different industries including high-tech, media, and consumer products;
- Perform industry and company analysis -- a core skill needed for any consulting or other analyst job;
- Participate in new research product development and incubation in cutting-edge areas like virtual worlds, and new models in financial services and advertising; and
- Envision sustainable strategies for interacting with clients through innovative new channels.
Qualifications include:
- Upperclassmen only;
- Excellent communication skills;
- International experience; comfort dealing with international audiences
